Allison Holker Boss, 34, described the former Ellen DJ as someone who “lit up every room he stepped into.”
She made the statement about her husband of nine years when confirming his death to People earlier this week.
Was Allison Holker Married Before?
Holker wasn’t married before tying the knot with Boss, but she had been engaged.
The professional dancer was engaged to the father of her daughter, Weslie Fowler, 14, but they reportedly split when she was two years old.
He helped look after Weslie while Holker built her dancing career as a young mom, according to an interview she gave to People in 2010.
Is tWitch’s Wife a Dancer?
Holker is a professional dancer, who became a fan favorite on So You Think You Can Dance where she competed in the show’s second season aged 18 and finished in the top eight.
A few years before that, Holker performed with the band Earth, Wind and Fire, at both the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City.
Holker also starred in Disney’s High School Musical and was a backup for Demi Lovato and on X Factor USA.
Boss died by suicide at a short-term rental apartment in Encino, California, leaving many in the entertainment world shocked, including his former boss, Ellen DeGeneres.
“I’m heartbroken,” the comedian wrote in a tribute on Instagram.
“tWitch was pure love and light. He was my family, and I loved him with all my heart. I will miss him. Please send your love and support to Allison and his beautiful children—Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia.”
Boss and Allison have three kids, Maddox, 6, Zaia, 3, and Weslie, who he adopted.
The couple met in 2010 when they were both competing on the All-Stars season of So You Think You Can Dance.
They married in 2013 and celebrated their anniversary on Saturday, December 10, just three days before Boss’ death.
She gushed about her husband in a February 2022 interview.
“There was no dialogue, there was no conversation or a first hangout. Literally, we danced and we were together holding hands the very next day,” she told People.
Allison also described how Boss was “my one” just three weeks into dating and he was her “forever person.”
