The show adapts Pak Taejun’s hugely popular Korean webtoon of the same name, which was was first published on Naver in 2014 and has since garnered 9 billion views globally. It is also available to read in the U.S. on WEBTOON.

Who Stars in the Voice Casts of Netflix’s Korean Anime ‘Lookism’?
In Lookism, Park Hyung Seok, an unattractive loner who wakes up one day to discover he is now in a new body and is considered handsome by conventional standards. He decides to try and live life to the full, while also encountering various social issues, and trying to keep his secret.
The anime, which premiered on December 8, was produced by Studio Mir, the animation team behind The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf and DOTA: Dragon’s Blood, also on Netflix.
In the Korean voice cast, Shim Kyu-hyuk plays Hyung Seok when he is small, while Han Shin voices the character when he is big.
Shim’s voice may be recognizable to gamers who have played the Korean otome game Mystic Messenger, in which he plays Yoosung. He is also the Korean dubbing actor for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Meanwhile, Ryu Seung-gone voices the character Lee Jin Sung, Jeong Jae-heon is Vasco, and Nam Doh-hyeong voices Jin Ho Bin.

Viewers can watch the anime with the English language dub, which features actors like Garrett Gallego and Nicky Endres as Park Hyung Seok.
As well as voice acting, Endres has appeared in shows like The Dropout, Lucifer and NCIS: Los Angeles.
Kaiji Tang voices the character Vasco, but regular anime viewers may recognize the voice actor from his roles as Satoru Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen or Archer in the Fate/stay Night franchise.
